A leading crypto market-making firm is looking for a Python Software Engineer to join its trading technology team.
You will develop and improve the software that supports market data, pricing, execution, trading operations and risk management across global cryptocurrency markets. Working closely with quantitative researchers, traders and infrastructure engineers, you will help build reliable, scalable systems that process real-time data and support automated trading strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain production-quality Python software for trading and market-making systems.
- Develop services supporting market data ingestion, order management, pricing, execution and risk.
- Integrate with cryptocurrency exchanges, liquidity providers and third-party data sources.
- Process and analyse real-time market data across multiple venues.
- Build tools and services for monitoring orders, positions, exposure, P&L and trading performance.
- Work with quantitative researchers to productionise trading strategies and research models.
Required Skills
- Python 3.x and modern software development practices.
- Async programming, concurrency and event-driven systems.
- REST, WebSockets, TCP/IP and exchange connectivity.
- Market-data processing and real-time event streams.
- PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka or similar messaging and data technologies.
- Docker, Kubernetes and cloud or bare-metal infrastructure.
- Linux-based production environments.
- Git, CI/CD, automated testing and observability tooling.
