Description
Join a top-tier high‑frequency trading firm and own the security of our low‑latency global network. You’ll design, deploy, and operate network security controls that protect trading infrastructure without compromising performance, working closely with network engineering, systems, and trading teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement network security for trading, market data, and business networks across data centres, colocation sites, and offices.
- Design and manage next‑generation firewall policies (Palo Alto, Cisco, or similar), including segmentation, zero‑trust principles, and least‑privilege access.
- Build and operate DDoS mitigation, IDS/IPS, and anomaly detection tailored to microsecond‑sensitive trading paths.
- Define and enforce secure BGP peering, route filtering, prefix validation (RPKI), and anti‑spoofing controls (uRPF, ACLs).
- Lead network incident response: triage, forensics, and remediation for security events impacting trading or connectivity.
Required Skills
- 10+ years in network security engineering, ideally within HFT, prop trading, fintech, or similarly low‑latency environments.
- Deep, hands‑on experience with NGFWs (Palo Alto preferred), IPS/IDS, WAF, and DDoS protection in production.
- Strong networking fundamentals: BGP, OSPF, multicast (PIM/IGMP), TCP/IP internals, and packet‑level troubleshooting (tcpdump, Wireshark, Corvil/cPacket).
- Proven ability to balance security controls with ultra‑low latency requirements.
