Description
Support the systems and workflows that keep a live trading desk running. You’ll be the first line of defence for trading applications, databases and Linux servers—monitoring health, resolving incidents and automating routine operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support for trading applications and Linux servers used by traders and researchers.
- Monitor system health, job schedules and data feeds; perform start-of-day and end-of-day checks.
- Write and optimise MySQL queries to investigate issues, validate data and produce operational reports.
- Triage incidents via a ticketing system, follow runbooks and escalate to developers/infrastructure teams when needed.
- Automate routine tasks (log rotation, data loads, reconciliations) using shell scripts and basic tooling.
Required Skills
- Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related STEM field, or demonstrable self-taught experience.
- Solid Linux/Unix fundamentals: command line, processes, logs, permissions, basic networking.
- Practical SQL experience with MySQL (or similar): SELECT/JOIN/GROUP BY, filtering, aggregations, basic indexing.
