Description
Our client, a global leading trading firm, is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a high-performing technology team responsible for building and supporting the infrastructure that underpins critical business systems. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, automating at scale, and working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and improving core infrastructure services across a global environment. The role requires a strong engineering mindset, excellent operational discipline, and the ability to work closely with technology teams to deliver reliable and scalable platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support robust infrastructure solutions across on-premise and enterprise environments.Automate operational and administrative tasks using scripting and infrastructure as code principles.
- Improve the performance, resilience, and reliability of critical systems.
- Support incident resolution, root cause analysis, and long-term problem remediation.
- Work collaboratively with developers, support teams, and other infrastructure specialists to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
- Contribute to infrastructure standards, documentation, and continual improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Strong background in infrastructure engineering within a complex enterprise or trading environment.
- Solid experience with automation and scripting, ideally using Python or similar tooling.
- Experience with modern infrastructure practices such as configuration management and infrastructure as code.
- Strong understanding of server, network, and production infrastructure concepts.
- Proven ability to operate in high-pressure environments with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
